Giffords Launches First Television Ad: “Change Can’t Wait”

TUCSON - Gabrielle Giffords, Democratic candidate for Arizona’s 8th Congressional seat, launched her first television ad today, entitled “Change Can’t Wait,” emphasizing her Arizona background and values: hard work, family, and commitment to education and health care.

“I’m a third generation Arizonan, and I believe that for too long, Washington has ignored the concerns of families here in Southern Arizona,” said Giffords. “I’m pleased to have the opportunity to introduce myself to voters and tell them about my experience in the legislature and running my family’s tire business, and that change can’t wait.”

The biographical ad highlights Giffords’ roots, her work running her family’s tire business, and her service in the Arizona legislature, where she worked to expand health care and improve education.

The ad will run in the Tucson media market, which covers the entire Congressional district.
