New Giffords Ad, “Gabby Road,” Highlights Focus on Health Care

TUCSON - Gabrielle Giffords’ campaign for Congress released its latest TV ad today, entitled “Gabby Road.” The ad focuses on Giffords’ record of working to expand health care, and her commitment to continue fighting for affordable health care in Congress. The ad begins with Giffords walking along a road with a young girl.

“As a legislator, Gabrielle Giffords fought to expand health coverage for young and old,” an announcer states. As Giffords and the girl cross the street, two groups of people appear behind them, and follow Giffords and the girl across the road and through the doors of a doctor’s office.

“In Congress, she’ll take on drug companies to lower prices, work to cover every child, and open the door to affordable health care for everyone €“ not just a few.”

The ad features Tucson pediatrician Eve Shapiro, who says, “I know she’ll deliver in Congress, because I’ve seen what she’s done.”

The ad will appear on broadcast and cable stations in the Tucson media market, which covers all of Congressional District 8.
