Giffords’ Latest Ad Spotlights Washington’s Fiscal Irresponsibility

TUCSON - Gabrielle Giffords’ campaign for Congress unveiled its fifth television ad today, entitled “Billions.” The ad highlights the fiscal irresponsibility that has run rampant in Washington for the last six years, and stresses Giffords’ experience running her family’s tire business and her demand for fiscal accountability in Congress. “Nine billion dollars €“ lost in Iraq,” an announcer states. “Billions to oil companies while they make record profits. A runaway deficit €“ and Washington keeps wasting our money.”

“Gabrielle Giffords will demand accountability,” the announcer continues. “Running a business, she learned to balance a budget. She’ll work to close corporate tax loopholes, and cut wasteful spending — so we can cut the deficit and cut taxes for middle class families.”

The ad will be playing along with “Gabby Road” — Giffords’ ad that debuted yesterday — in the Tucson media market, which covers the entire Congressional district.
