Arizona’s Letter Carriers Announce Support of Gabrielle Giffords
TUCSON - The Arizona State Association of Letter Carriers and the National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 704, have joined the large coalition of working people who have endorsed Gabrielle Giffords’ campaign for a new direction in Washington.
In a letter personally presented to Gabrielle Giffords today, Dan Versluis, President of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 704, wrote that “our members feel that you have earned our endorsement based on your exemplary record representing working families in the Arizona Legislature, your tireless efforts in advocating the rights of all citizens, your community activism, your unending support of workers’ rights, and your energy and enthusiasm in bringing important issues forward.”
Giffords thanked the NALC for their support. “With 11 days left until the primary and 67 days left until the general election, our coalition is growing and surging forward,” she said. “I thank the NALC for joining our coalition and working to achieve positive change in Washington.”
The National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 704, joins a broad coalition of working people who are fighting for Gabrielle Giffords’ campaign for a new direction in Washington. This coalition including the following:
