Donna Mabry

Donna Mabry is Gabrielle Giffords’ Supporter of the Month for December 2007. Originally from King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Donna and her husband, Stan, first came to Tucson in 1981 on a six week camping trip. They both loved the West and in 1984 moved here permanently. The following year, Donna attended travel agency school and established herself as a travel consultant. In 1995, she started her own agency, Pathfinder Travel, which specializes in custom vacation planning, tours, cruises and small group travel.Donna’s involvement in politics began when she was asked by a friend to be a precinct captain in LD-26. She continues to maintain that position while also serving on the Leadership Council of Democrats in Oro Valley as Outreach Coordinator. In her free time, Donna enjoys hiking, bike riding and fly fishing.

Donna first met Gabrielle through a mutual friend. She was impressed with Gabrielle’s intelligence, high energy and passionate devotion to Southern Arizona. Along the way, she discovered Gabrielle’s strong stance on immigration, solar energy and the environment; three issues extremely important to Donna. It was then she decided it was time to support her friend. “When I found out she was running, I knew I wanted to help someone I admire so much,” she said.

During the first campaign, Donna worked closely with the team and has always been one of its strongest volunteers. She can usually be seen signing in attendees at house parties, working on mailings, knocking on doors and generally helping at other events.
