WOMEN BUSINESS LEADERS ENDORSE GABRIELLE GIFFORDS

National Association of Women Business Owners praises 8th District congresswoman as a fighter for small businesses and women entrepreneurs

TUCSON—Giffords for Congress is pleased to announce the endorsement of the National Association of Women Business Owners Political Action Committee.

The group praised Gabrielle Giffords - a former business owner herself - as a lawmaker who will help advance opportunities for small businesses and women entrepreneurs.

“The National Association of Women Business Owners [NAWBO] endorses Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords for re-election because its members cannot just sit back and hope for access to affordable health care insurance, increased federal procurement opportunities for women entrepreneurs and fair and equitable tax treatment for small business,” according to the group.

“The NAWBO Political Action Committee (NAWBO PAC) supports Congressional candidates such as Congresswoman Giffords who will deliver on Capitol Hill.”

Formed in 1999, the NAWBO PAC is a non-partisan Federal PAC that endorses and provides financial contributions to candidates who support NAWBO’s public policy platform.

Giffords has already received the endorsement of the Business and Professional Women Political Action Committee, which represents a national, nonpartisan grassroots organization with 15,000 members in 1,200 local chapters.
