Congresswoman plans weekend appearances throughout Southern Arizona to encourage constituents to vote

TUCSON—Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is embarking on a weekend Cactus Roots tour of Southern Arizona, with a dozen stops throughout District 8. 

Saturday and Sunday, Giffords will visit Douglas, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Green Valley and numerous locations across Tucson and the surrounding area. 

The swing kicks off Get-Out-The-Vote activities for the Congresswoman’s re-election, with rallies and supporters planning to walk neighborhoods and hit the phone banks to drive a strong turnout on Election Day.

Giffords will appear in Douglas, Bisbee and Sierra Vista on Saturday and several locations in Tucson and the surrounding area on Sunday.
