When Lynda and her husband, DuWayne, moved to Tucson from San Francisco in March 2006, she almost immediately became involved with the political scene. Born in Chicago, Harold met Merle when she moved from California with her family to his neighborhood when they were both 9 years old. “I invited him to my Girl Scout dance,” says Merle, “He was walking down the street and I was new in the neighborhood and I didn’t know a soul!”

Sally Cushman
Sally Cushman, retired psychologist, wife, mother & grandmother has been selected as Gabrielle Giffords’ April Supporter of the Month. Sally was born in Concord, MA and moved to Phoenix with her family when she was 14. After attending North Phoenix High School, Sally went off to college, eventually receiving her Ph.D. in psychology from Ohio State University. Along the way she met and married her husband and raised three beautiful daughters.
